Key Concepts

Gross vs. Net Revenue

  • Gross Revenue = Total amount charged
  • Net Revenue = Gross minus refunds

Utilization

How much of your available rental time is actually booked:

Utilization = Booked Hours ÷ Available Hours × 100%

A 75% utilization means 75% of available time has bookings.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

Amounts owed by customers (balances due, deposit remainders).

RevPAUH

Revenue Per Available Unit Hour—a hospitality-style metric showing revenue efficiency:

RevPAUH = Net Revenue ÷ Total Available Unit Hours

Tips for Using Reports

Review Weekly

Set aside time each week to review your KPIs. Look for:

  • Revenue trends
  • Booking patterns
  • Utilization changes

Watch Seasonality

Compare current performance to the same period last year to account for seasonal patterns.

Act on Insights

When reports show opportunities (slow days, underperforming units), create pricing rules or promotions to address them.
