Quick Answer
Locations in RecSystems are pickup and return points where customers collect rentals. Go to Account → Locations to add locations with addresses, contact info, and optional fees.
Managing Locations
Locations define where customers pick up and return their rentals. Whether you operate from a single marina or multiple sites, locations help organize your business and guide customers to the right place.
What Is a Location?
A location is a physical place where customers can:
- Pick up their rental at the start of their booking
- Return the rental at the end
- Meet staff for check-in and instructions
Common location types:
- Marinas and docks
- Storefronts and offices
- Parks and launch sites
- Delivery zones
- Mobile meeting points
Why Locations Matter
For Customers
- Know exactly where to go
- Get directions and contact info
- See any location-specific fees upfront
- Choose the most convenient pickup point
For Your Business
- Organize inventory by physical location
- Track which units are where
- Charge location-specific fees (delivery, etc.)
- Provide clear pickup instructions
Location Features
Each location in RecSystems can have:
| Feature | Description |

Single vs. Multiple Locations
Single Location
If you operate from one place:
- Create one location
- Assign all units to it
- Customers don't need to choose
Multiple Locations
If you have several sites:
- Create a location for each
- Assign units to appropriate locations
- Customers choose during booking
- Can charge different fees per location
How Locations Connect to Units
Units can be available at one or more locations:
Location: Main Marina
├── 22ft Pontoon
├── 24ft Pontoon
└── Jet Ski #1
Location: South Dock
├── 22ft Pontoon (same unit, multiple locations)
├── Fishing Boat
└── Jet Ski #2
Key points:
- A unit can be at multiple locations
- Only published locations appear to customers
- Units not assigned to any published location won't be bookable
