## Sensible Weather: Offer a Weather Guarantee at Checkout ### Overview Sensible Weather lets your customers add an optional weather guarantee during checkout. If bad weather impacts their experience, they’re refunded according to vendor terms. This feature can lift conversion and increase confidence without complicating your checkout. ### Where to find it - Dashboard → Integrations → Sensible Weather (configure, Test Connection, admin tools) - Checkout: appears between Add‑ons and Renter Information when enabled - Reporting: Dashboard → Reports → Integrations → Sensible Weather; full page at Dashboard → Reports → Sensible Weather ### Customer experience - A clean, optional “Weather Guarantee” card appears between Add-ons and Renter Information. - It highlights peace of mind and displays the relevant trip dates (and location context). - After a quote is fetched, the price and plain-language terms appear. Customers can toggle it on or off before paying. ### Enable the integration 1. Go to Dashboard → Integrations → Sensible Weather. 2. Choose Environment (Sandbox for testing, Production when live). 3. Enter your Client ID, Client Secret, and Product ID from Sensible. 4. Set Default Currency (e.g., `usd`) and Default Locale (e.g., `en-us`). 5. Toggle "Show in Checkout." The card appears when credentials are present and the toggle is on. 6. Save and test by creating a sample booking. Tip: Click “Test Connection” to validate your credentials and product id. Use Sandbox first, then flip to Production. Tip: Configure Sandbox first and validate end-to-end before switching to Production. ### Checkout placement and summary - Placement: directly after the Add-ons section and before Renter Information to maximize visibility. - Summary: an “Optional Weather Guarantee” line is shown; once selected it appears as an applied cart line item with price. ### Best practices - Keep it optional: customers appreciate choice. - Use positive, concise messaging: emphasize peace of mind and fairness. - Verify your Product ID and dates: accurate dates and location produce accurate quotes. ### Admin tools - Test Connection: validates auth and product id. - Quote/Guarantee tools: fetch by id, query by product id, cancel a guarantee (staff workflows). ### Reporting - Quick KPIs on Dashboard → Reports (bottom “Integrations” section). - Full Sensible Weather report: totals and daily breakdown for quotes, selects, accepts/declines, cancels. ### Troubleshooting - The card doesn’t appear: ensure you’ve entered credentials and turned on “Show in Checkout.” - No price is showing: the quote may not have loaded yet. Ensure dates and location are present, and try again. - Widget not loading: visit your Sensible Weather dashboard and verify your account is active. - Still stuck?
