## DX1 for Rentals Staff This guide explains how DX1 works inside RecSystems from a rental shop perspective. It focuses on what you see and do in the app, without technical details. ### Who this is for - Store owners and managers - Front-desk and operations staff ### What DX1 sync does DX1 sync lets you bring your rentable inventory (boats, PWCs, UTVs, etc.) from DX1 into RecSystems so you don’t have to retype listings. You choose which items to import; imported items become Units in your RecSystems fleets. ### What you need - A DX1 API Access Key for your dealership. Your DX1 account manager can enable API access and help you create this key. ### Connect your dealership - [ ] Go to Dashboard → Integrations → DX1 - [ ] Paste your DX1 API key - [ ] Click Enable DX1 sync - [ ] Verify you see a “Connected” badge Notes: - You can rotate (replace) your DX1 key anytime. - If you disconnect DX1, syncing stops immediately. ### Preview and select rentals to import 1) Open Dashboard → Integrations → DX1 2) Click Refresh to load your DX1 rentals 3) Review the list: - Each card shows Make/Model/Year and a thumbnail. - Items already imported show an “Imported” badge with a View link. - Click Details on any card to see more info. 4) Select items to import using the toggle on each card. Your selection is remembered as you page around. 5) The Add selected button shows a live count of what you’ve chosen. ### Start the import - [ ] Click Add selected - [ ] You’ll see “Import in progress” — this runs in the background - [ ] You can continue your setup; no need to stay on the page What happens next (high level): - The selected items are created (or updated) as Units in RecSystems. - Photos from DX1 are attached to your units. - Units are placed with your fleets so guests can find them easily. ### Where to find imported units - Fleets → pick a fleet → Units tab - Units list (if available in your dashboard) ### Everyday tasks - Rotate your DX1 key: open the DX1 page, update the key, Save. - Re-import updates: re-open the DX1 page, select updated items, Add selected again. - Hide or unpublish a unit: manage visibility from the unit’s page in RecSystems. ### Tips - Rentals only: The DX1 page focuses on items intended for rental. If you don’t see something, check the item’s web/rental visibility in DX1 and click Refresh. - Prices: If a price is hidden on the web in DX1, it may appear hidden here as well. - Thumbnails: Images load as we fetch details; large galleries may take a little time to appear after import. ### Troubleshooting - Can’t connect: Double‑check the key and confirm DX1 API access is enabled for your dealership. - No items appear: Ensure your DX1 inventory is set for web/rental visibility; click Refresh. - Photos missing: Confirm the DX1 item has photos. If you just added photos, give it a few minutes and try again. - Duplicates: Already‑imported items show “Imported.” Avoid re‑importing the same item. - Still stuck? Email support at [email protected]. ### Privacy and security - Your DX1 key is stored securely in RecSystems and is never shown in full. - You can disconnect DX1 at any time from the DX1 page. ### FAQ - Can I import non‑rentals? - The DX1 page is designed for rentals. If something’s missing, verify its DX1 settings and try Refresh. - Will prices change automatically? - Prices shown at import reflect what’s in DX1. You can adjust prices later in RecSystems as needed. - Can I change which fleet a unit belongs to? - Yes. Open the unit in RecSystems and update its fleet if you prefer a different grouping.
